Lukas is interested in the structure, chemical composition, biosynthesis and barrier properties of cutinized (leaves) and suberized (roots) plant interfaces.
PD Dr. Rochus B. Franke
Dr. Viktoria V. Zeisler-Diehl
Scientist
Room 2.024
Tel: +49 228 73 4996
Viktoria is investigating the chemical composition and barrier properties of plant environment interfaces. This includes water loss from leaves and fruits (cuticular transpiration) and cuticular uptake of organic molecules (e.g. agrochemicals) into the plant.
Dr. Paul Grünhofer
Scientist
Room 2.019
Tel: +49 228 73 7089
Paul's research focuses on how various abiotic stresses (e.g., drought, salinity, nutrient deficiencies) influence the formation of apoplastic barriers in leaves (cuticle), stems (periderm), and roots (exo-/endodermis or periderm).
